“Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you improve the quality of life itself.” -Moshe Feldenkrais
I’m a coach and student of movement. I’ve been coaching movement for the past 9 years. My goal is to help people become better movers and eliminate chronic pain. I offer workshops, online courses, and private coaching focused on handbalancing, bodyweight training, and mobility training.
I grew up as an active kid, playing many sports. In my teens I was no longer able to play due to concussions, so I got into weightlifting. After a few years of lifting heavy weights, an injury that caused me to lose feeling and movement of my left arm. My whole body was a mess; I had constant pain and little mobility (couldn't reach my back or touch my toes). I was an 18-year-old guy in the body of an 80-year-old man. If I was going to start living again, I needed to get my body back. This led me to travel the world, studying various movement and bodywork disciples.
Due to my injury, I learned everything I could about therapies to help heal myself and others. While the therapies helped, they didn’t eliminate the aches and pains. Bodyweight training happened to be a great way to balance tensions in the body, and I found that it eliminated my pains and that of my clients. I was drawn in by the flashy moves and health benefits, but stayed because I ended up falling in love with the process of training. It’s now my passion to show others the process and help them efficiently achieve their goals.
